This procedure has shown tremendous success in helping SCI patients regain course and even fine motor control, allowing them to once again move arms, legs, core, and even fingers. Unfortunately, it is not yet approved by the FDA, and at the present time, it seems the approval process in on pause until the infostructure is in place. This turns into a catch--22 because insurance companies will not approve the procedure without FDA approval and thus there is no money to establish the infostructure.
